Momo in Lesotho: Peace Corps Adventure

About Momo...
My Story
Hello all, welcome to my blog! My name is Momo Hartman. Some may know me as Morgan, Mo, MJ, or by many other aliases. I grew up in and around Woodstock, Vermont and I love hiking, skiing, yoga, and generally just being outside. I attended Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated in 2021 with a dual degree in International Relations and French. After graduating I continued to grad school at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, graduating in 2022 with a Masters of Science in Healthcare Management. Following grad school, I worked in medical clinics in the DMV area.
Peace Corps had always been on my radar since high school. In middle school and high school I was lucky enough to have the opportunty to live and work abroad in a volunteer capacity and I fell in love with it.
I applied to the Peace Corps in December 2023. I applied to go anywhere and was invited to join the Lesotho program as a health volunteer. After processing through the lengthy medical and legal clearances, I was cleared to depart! I will swear in as a volunteer on December 11th, after which, I will travel to my permanent site to work in a rural health clinic.
I plan to use this blog as a way to update friends and families of my journey in Lesotho. Through photos, blog posts and more I hope to accomplish this.
